Yimin

Yimin, who has loved music and dance since childhood, majored in practical music composition in Korea and gained various music experiences. She also developed her passion for dance from a young age, receiving training in Ballet and Jazz. During her student years, she further nurtured her love for dance by participating as an assistant choreographer in the UK and Korea co-produced children's musical 'David'. Later, she underwent extensive training in Hip hop, Street Jazz, Contemporary Jazz, and Ballet at the Broadway Dance Center program in New York. Recognized as a talented dancer during classes, she gained experience by participating as a dancer in works by various choreographers such as Eric Jenkins, Jamie Jackson, and Direc Mitchell. After the program, she worked as a dancer in pieces choreographed by Jermaine Brown, known for his work with Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Hudson, and Selena Gomez, and also collaborated with Joanna Numata's team, a popular dancer and instructor in New York.


Starting her career as a dance instructor in New York and New Jersey, she developed a particular interest in K-pop, launching her own classes. She directed the dance team at the Asian American Youth Council Launching Ceremony in New Jersey and conducted K-pop workshops and mini-concerts at the Westwood Public Library in New Jersey. She performed at the 'Koreatown Street Festival' organized by the Korean American Association of Greater New York and served as a special instructor for K-pop workshops at the High School for Environmental Studies in New York. As part of community outreach, she planned dance shows at the Buckingham Care and Rehabilitation Center in New Jersey, providing students with opportunities for volunteerism, character development, and experience. She also worked as a choreographer and dancer for singer Shin Hyun Mi and participated in summer children's musical programs. Continuing her quest to become a better dance instructor, she completed an advanced choreography workshop in New York and continues to train passionately.


Since moving to Texas in 2021, she founded TEAMYMIN DALLAS and has been actively engaging with many students. She also collaborates with TEAMYMIN members in New Jersey, planning various dance projects. In 2024, she established K POP DANCE NORTH TEXAS and continues to work hard with teachers and students who share her love for K-pop.


Joseph

Fueled by his passion for performing through various dance ministries at his church at an early age, Joseph officially began his dance journey when he trained at 1MILLION Dance Studio in Seoul, South Korea to further hone his skills in hip-hop based choreography.


After moving to New York City, Joseph eventually became an active member of the NY/NJ dance community, taking classes in various dance genres such as hip-hop and house, as well as participating as a regular member and choreographer for Synchronic Dance Team, where he performed in both local dance competitions and showcases. With his passion for K-pop, Joseph has also served as a cover leader and instructor at K-NESIS, a K-pop dance cover club based in NYU, and has directed 10+ dance covers uploaded to YouTube.


Joseph strives to not only further promote Korean culture through his classes, but also promote an inclusive space where people can explore their love for K-pop through covering their favorite artists


Christy

Christy is a dynamic and vibrant dance enthusiast based in North Texas. With a lifelong dedication to dance, Christy's journey began with ballet, jazz, and tap training from a young age, shaping the foundation of her passion for movement.

In high school, Christy's fascination with K-pop ignited a new creative spark. Teaching herself K-pop choreography became a joyful passion, leading to the creation of captivating dance covers shared across social media platforms. Each performance is a testament to Christy's commitment to mastering intricate choreography and expressing her love for dance.

Expanding her repertoire beyond K-pop, Christy's desire for artistic exploration led her to delve into hip hop, contemporary, popping, and modern dance styles. Her versatility as a dancer and choreographer continues to evolve, fueled by a boundless curiosity and dedication to honing her craft.

Now, as an instructor at Kpop Dance North Texas, Christy channels her passion for dance into inspiring the next generation of dancers. Her energetic teaching style and infectious enthusiasm create an inclusive and welcoming environment where students can embrace their love for K-pop and explore their own creativity.
